chocolate chunk cookies

makes ~24 cookies depending how big your scoops are

  • 1 and a 1/2 sticks of butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 and 3/4 cups of flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • bag of bitter-sweet or semi-sweet chocolate chunks (Ghirardelli 60% baking chips are bomb)

method:

pre-heat oven to 375

cream butter and sugar together

add the egg and vanilla

beat until combined

add the flour, baking soda, salt and mix to combine

mix in the chocolate chunks

using a normal teaspoon (not a measure), place heaped scoops on a parchment lined baking tray

bake for ~10-12 mins or until brown around the edges

don’t over bake, the cookies will stay soft once cooled
